Miller's Trail
This eight mile circular route provides the opportunity to visit the restored windmills at Whitburn and Fulwell and the remains of the windmill on the Cleadon Hills, pasing through areas rich in cultural and natural heritage.

Road Directions
From A1(M) take A194 and then A1300 to South Shields. At the coast take the A183 Coast Road towards Sunderland. The car park for the start of the route is Whitburn Bents.
From the Tyne Tunnel follow the A19 South and exit at first junction for the A194 to South Shields. Take the A1300 then the A183.
Public Transport Directions
Metro station South Shields and then catch the E1 to Sunderland.
