Northern Stage

Northern Stage, following a £9m redevelopment programme re-opened in 2006 as a world-class venue for theatre-making. On the site of the old Newcastle Playhouse and Gulbenkian Studio, Northern Stage will have three performance spaces, two of which (Stage One and Stage Two) can be joined to make a unique epic space seating 700 people. We will have new bars, a new restaurant and spaces for cabaret, comedy and music as well as theatre.
