Cafe 21

We’ve watched three Prime Ministers and ten Newcastle United managers come and go - yes, it’s been 19 years! - and now it’s time for us. BUT we’ve only moved around the corner. Saturday May 19th we served our last meal at Queen Street and Saturday May 26th we throw open the doors of Café 21’s new home in Trinity Gardens (behind the Law Courts).

What’s it like? Bigger, brighter, buzzier with more space to look after you, a comfortable bar area, lots of big windows, and a private dining room (seats 40). In the latter, you can dine totally privately or fold back the doors to watch the antics of the restaurant.

The style is a little bit chic, a little bit sleek, a little bit classic, and totally fun. The food is still big on flavour, short on fussiness, plus there’ll be some new ‘classic’ dishes on the menu. The service, of course, will remain as smart, efficient and friendly as ever.

We couldn’t make the move - indeed, we wouldn’t still be here - without you, our fantastically loyal customers. We look forward to welcoming you to our new home.

Lunch: Monday – Saturday 12pm – 2.30pm; Sunday 12.30pm –3pm
Dinner: Monday – Saturday 5.30pm – 10.30pm; Sunday 6pm – 10pm
