Tynemouth Castle and Priory

Add Tynemouth Castle and Priory to your Itinerary

Set on a steep headland between the river and the North Tyne, Tynemouth has always been as much a fortress as a religious site. Wander the soaring ruins of this dramatic 13th-century priory
church and find tranquillity in the tiny chapel.
