The Site for all Your Short Breaks and Holiday Information
Byermoor Tea Rooms are a welcome addition to East Byermoor Guest House, located in idyllic surroundings. We welcome you to share the charm and character of our 17th Century Farmhouse standing in one and a half acres of landscaped gardens overlooking Gibside Estate and Whickham Golf Course. The Byermoor Tea Rooms, serve locally sourced and produced food, morning coffees and teas as well as speciality coffees, light lunches and traditional English cream teas.
Make the most of the fantastic opportunity to watch the region’s famous Red Kites, one of the most beautiful birds of prey in Europe with a wingspan of nearly two metres. They can regularly be seen from the tea rooms as they soar over nearby Gibside Estate or even our own gardens, luckily they eat mainly carrion and have not been known to come into the tea rooms to steal the delicious cakes!
Browse through handmade gemstone jewellery (from Turkey), pearls from Malaysia, tapestries hand woven in Cornwall, handmade cards and toiletries as well as honey produced by our own Byermoor Bees!
Our regular customers say they feel they have found a true gem and are thrilled to have the tearooms they have always wanted almost on their doorstep. You can enjoy dining alfresco in the warm weather or by candlelight when the weather is inclement.
