The Site for all Your Short Breaks and Holiday Information
Life is an award winning Science Centre which is full of exciting exhibitions and activities, complete with Life’s Science Explainers - a key part of every visit. They present shows in the Life Theatre and are on hand around the Centre to help you get the most out of your visit. Life is also home to the region’s biggest planetarium theatre and a 3D motion simulator ride.
As well as a programme of touring exhibitions – Feel the Force and Medieval Machines being the next exciting and hands-on exhibitions due to arrive at the centre in November '09 – Life features a permanent exhibition that tells the story of human life, including evolution and explores how we are affected by contemporary science issues.
During the winter months Life also has an open-air ice skating rink situated in Times Square outside the centre. This is a great opportunity to get your skates on and take part or simply to spectate with a hot drink from the attached café.
