Down at the Farm

Down at the Farm is a real hands on farm experience for the whole family to enjoy! Reopening from 20th March 2010! Come and help us celebrate Easter with our fluffy chicks, bottle feed our new borm lambs and meet all the new additions to the farm. Come and meet Hamish the cow, Shaun the Sheep, Twinkle and star the reindeer, Xena the 17ft python, lots of animal shows every day including bugz n beetles, pig washing, grooming the sheep and donkeys .

Lots of activities from grooming, washing, bottle feeding and if you’re after a bit of fun then why not check out our Adventure playground, go mad on the jumping pillow, take a barrel train or join the tractor ride to meet the cows?

Birthday parties March-October, Cafe open weekends and school holidays, Schools welcome.

Set in beautiful rural surroundings with views over Penshaw and beyond. Down at the Farm is the perfect day out in the countryside, just a stones throw from the cities of Sunderland and Durham. Excellent facilites, cafe and refreshments, baby changing, disabled access and free parking. Coaches welcome.
Easter holiday madness: From Good Friday 2nd April.. Easter egg hunts daily, meet higgley pig, decorate your egg, egg and spoon races, egg rolling competitions plus much more.
Follow our events programme throughout the year - Tickets are available on our website for the popular Halloween party and Santa weekends where Santa and his real reindeer know all about the children who come to visit. Our live nativity shows are just magical!
