Tyne & Wear celebrates success at North East England Tourism Awards 2009/10.

When someone chooses to visit Tyne & Wear we want their stay to be outstanding in every sense. That's why our annual North East England Tourism Awards reward hotels, restaurants, attractions and staff in the area that are as committed to levels of service and quality as we are.

It was an evening of glitz and glamour on Thursday 15 October, when the Hilton NewcastleGateshead hosted the annual regional tourism awards. Kim Inglis hosted the event, with the very best of the tourism industry from across the North East celebrating its successes.

Tyne & Wear businesses scooped 14 awards, 6 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze - congratulations to all the winners!
