Public Transport Directions

From Newcastle Central Station, take the Tyne and Wear Metro Platform 2. Look for a train heading for the Coast. If you look at the metro map follow the yellow line clockwise. The train journey lasts approximately 30 minutes. Alight at Tynemouth and exit the station through the arch underneath the station clock. Turn right out of the station and follow the road around. At the road junction, follow the road around to the right and cross outside the TA Centre across to Kwik FIt. To the left of Kiwk Fit is Tynemouth Terrace. Head down this street and then turn right and then left into Northumberland Terrace. Head downhill, keeping the houses on your left. Turn Left at the bottom and you are in Collingwood Terrace. Number 1 is the first property on your left hand side. Entry is up the stone steps.

From Newcastle Airport take the Tyne and Wear Metro following the green line towards Newcastle City Centre. Change at South Gosforth and cross to the other platform using the footbridge. Take a train heading towards the Coast, this time following the yellow line clockwise until Tynemouth. Exit the station through the arch underneath the station clock. Turn right out of the station and follow the road around. At the road junction, follow the road around to the right and cross outside the TA Centre across to Kwik FIt. From the International Ferry Terminal take te R19 bus to North Shields Town Centre. Walk to North Shields Metro Station and descend to Platform 1. Take any train the one stop to Tynemouth. Upon alighting at Tynemouth, you should sue the footbridge to cross to the other sid eof the track and then exit the station through the arch underneath the clock. From here, follow the instructions given for visitors arriving by air.
